20" Lean-Steer-trike

My first recumbent and my first design. Too low for safety.

27" Front-Wheel-Drive Rear-Wheel-Steer

My second recumbent and my second design. Don't need a lock for this one! Maybe it's genetic, my dad could ride it too.

20" BMX Freestyle Framed SWB

My third recumbent. Quick and dirty, but practical... finally.

24"-20" Medium Wheelbase

First of a series of over a dozen bikes drawn by me and built by my 75 year old dad. He built 3 of this design before I finished the drawings for the next one!

27"-27" Front-Wheel-Drive, Front-Wheel-Steer

We tried at least one of everything. Some people love moving BB FWD... not me.

24"-20" Vertical Head Remote OSS

Dad's favorite. He built two of these, just to have a spare.

27"-27" SWB OSS

The last bike dad built. My favorite... big wheels are best.

700-700 V-Rex

You can have one too. This conversion of a 700-20" V-Rex took about an hour.

26"-700 V-Rex w/MTB Fork

Sara wanted a smaller front wheel.

26"-26" V-Rex w/650 TT Fork

A compromise we both like.

26"-26" Screamer

Our custom long boom, big wheel tandem. Katy loves being stoker.

1971 Frejus

Moved to Virginia on this bike in 1974, when it looked like this. Went from 10 speed to 16 speed to 3 speed, no shifters.

The bERGer BLOCK

Makes the neatest recumbent ever, even better!

700-700 Thys 220 row bike (modified)

RowVelo 700-700

Fixed Seat Rowing Ergonometer

I know - it's not a bike - but it's still a recumbent - and definitely human powered!

Fixed Seat Rowing Ergonometer

Prototype fixed seat rowing ergonometer

Fixed Seat Rowing Ergonometer

Reduces lower back and knee strain.
